Sanctuary Maintenance achieve 25% savings in two months due to transformation in driver behaviour

In a bid to make improvements to fleet performance, Sanctuary Maintenance (part of Sanctuary Group) decided to consider tracking vehicles and embarked on a two-month trial with TomTom reseller, Fleetview. The pilot scheme produced savings of 25%, improved service levels and response times and dramatically improved driver behaviour, leading Sanctuary to install TomTom products throughout the fleet. WEBFLEET enables easy fleet monitoring in real time. LINK is supplemented by the PRO units in each vehicle for optimum routing, ecoPLUS delivers accurate MPG and fuel management, with OptiDrive and Active Driver Feedback being used to monitor driver behaviour and performance.

Sanctuary Group is a leading provider of housing and care homes across the UK. The Group manages around 94,000 units of accommodation, including more than 60 care homes. All maintenance on the Group’s housing stock is carried out through Sanctuary Maintenance, which has teams of fully qualified plumbers, electricians, gas engineers, gardeners, cleaners and general operatives. Sanctuary has an in-house fleet comprising 600 light commercial vehicles. Fleet performance is critical to Sanctuary Maintenance’s core aim of providing a quick and efficient response to customers’ requirements.
