At-a-glance action plan for the GDPR

Our digital world has changed a lot in the last 20 years and now data privacy laws are being adapted to reflect this. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on May 25 2018, and fleet operators need to move quickly to comply with its Europe-wide regulations.

Although some of the core principles from previous data protection laws remain in place, there are a number of specific new requirements that organisations must now meet. The penalties for non-compliance will be significant, with the most serious violations attracting fines of up to €20 million or 4 per cent of turnover, whichever is greater.

So, now is the time to assess your current data protection practices and identify whether you need to take action.

Want some help getting to grips with the GDPR? Then our at-a-glance action plan will be essential reading. It outlines the basic steps you need to take to ensure your fleet operation is compliant with all the new requirements.
