Driving style key to low-emission fleet

Are you committed to reducing your impact on the environment?

At the moment, people are not doing enough to protect the planet – total global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are still on the rise, reaching approximately 52.7 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2014. [1]

You don’t need us to tell you that road vehicles are a major CO2 polluter. In fact, transport as a whole is responsible for almost 25% of EU greenhouse gas emissions.[2] What this does mean, though, is that we drivers have an opportunity to make a positive impact and change these statistics and businesses can work to create a low-emission fleet.

This week we come together to celebrate World Environment Day, and this year’s theme, ‘Connecting People to Nature’, encourages us all to appreciate the importance of the Earth and try to preserve its beauty.

Register for the Webfleet Driver of the Year Awards

At Webfleet, we know the significance of being respectful citizens and preserving the attraction of the world we share.

That’s why, with our Webfleet Driver of the Year Awards, we are giving you an opportunity to engage your drivers to improve their driving behaviour, to adapt a safer and more efficient driving style that in turn will contribute to a more low-emission fleet.

Just by taking a couple of simple actions, such as keeping your vehicle in good condition, reducing harsh steering, and cutting down on sudden braking, you can ensure a greener, safer driving style and also work your way to the top of our regional Driver of the Year leader board.

If you can prove yourself to be the safest and most efficient driver in your region, you will be invited to Barcelona to compete for the European Grand Title and attend the final awards ceremony.

With Webfleet’ OptiDrive® 360 and WEBFLEET® solutions, you’ll not only be able to monitor your drivers’ fuel consumption and the smoothness of their driving, but also to measure their CO2 emissions to contribute to the protection of Mother Nature.

So, what better time to sign up than on World Environment Day? Register your drivers for the Webfleet Driver of the Year Awards and let us help you to improve your driving efficiency and make a contribution to preserving our planet.
