TomTom WORK presents improved Connected Navigation for businesses

Leipzig, 1 April 2009: TomTom WORK, the B2B division of TomTom, today announces the TomTom GO 7000 and the WEBFLEET Dashboard. These products are designed to help companies save time, money and fuel, as well as improve their overall business performance.

TomTom GO 7000
The TomTom GO 7000 meets the requirements of professional drivers operating in a commercial vehicle fleet. It is HD Traffic (TM) ready, ensuring drivers receive current real-time traffic information, as well as reports about delays and suggestions on alternative routes. HD Traffic coupled with TomTom IQ Routes (TM) ensures the best route and provides the most accurate arrival times.

Among the other features of the TomTom GO 7000 are:

  • LIVE Services ready *, including Safety Alerts and Local Search with Google , in order to find garages or motorway service stations
  • TomTom Map Share (TM)technology so users can instantly make map corrections on their device and share those with others
  • Text to Speechand Voice address input increasing driver safety by reducing the frequency with which drivers need to look at the display during the journey.

TomTom GO 7000 is part of the Connected Navigation solution TomTom WORK Active.

WEBFLEET Dashboard
WEBFLEET Dashboard is a new reporting tool within the online application for fleet management, WEBFLEET. It is easy to use, visually intuitive and presents performance measurements that are critical to the operations of a commercial vehicle fleet. With one single overview, the user sees all analyses and trends in order to make quick decisions regarding their fleet, teams and drivers. Additionally, users can specify up to 15 'Key Performance Indicators' (KPIs) in order to judge the performance of their business against its goals.

Today, managers of vehicle fleets have a lot of information regarding their vehicles and orders at their disposal, but they don't have the time to utilise this information effectively, says Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director TomTom WORK. "While the new TomTom GO 7000 makes professional navigation even more time and fuel efficient, the WEBFLEET Dashboard supports the management of fleets. Especially in times of economic difficulty, when costs have to be reduced and processes optimised, WEBFLEET Dashboard enables decisions to be made quickly, based on information that is displayed clearly and that can be quickly retrieved."

Availability and pricing
The TomTom GO 7000 is available immediately via distribution partners of TomTom WORK and is available in two map versions. Map of UK and Republic of Ireland or map for Western and Central Europe.

WEBFLEET Dashboard is available as per April 6, as a part of the WEBFLEET service. Subscription prices available via channel partners.

*The GO 7000 is LIVE Services ready, a specific subscription to WEBFLEET is required as well as the installation of the TomTom LINK 300. The LIVE Services for the TomTom GO 7000 are only available in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.

About TomTom WORK Active
The updated TomTom WORK Active solution provides a complete Connected Navigation Service through the combination of the TomTom GO 7000, WEBFLEET and TomTom LINK 300. With Connected Navigation users receive valuable data such as exact destinations and estimated arrival times. These data are updated every minute. TomTom WORK Active also offers vehicle fleet owners daily reports on working times, speed profiles and the number of journeys and stops of individual drivers. These reports give the vehicle fleet owners a better overview of the position of the vehicles and the activities of the drivers, whilst at the same time reducing administrative input.
