TomTom WORK awarded Fleet Hero status

London – November 17th, 2009: TomTom WORK were shortlist for the “Innovation in Services and Systems Award” at the Energy Saving Trust: Fleet Hero Awards on the 17th November. This was for the contribution the TomTom WORK solution has made toward making fleets more responsible in terms of how the operate particularly through innovations like carbon footprint reporting and easy monitoring of mileage. TomTom WORK's Jeremy Gould commented We are delighted to be short listed for an award recognising green working practices, a topic at the forefront of mind, and very much at the heart of our TomTom WORK solution and went on to say It's an honour to be recognised as a 'Fleet Hero' from the Energy Saving Trust, TomTom has evolved from a pure navigation company to offering a range of solutions to help our customers run a greener and safer flee.

Transport Minister Sadiq Khan said:
It is imperative that we remain dedicated to reducing carbon emissions in the transport sector if we are to meet the environmental challenges we face. Because of its size and influence, the fleet sector has a major role to play in making transport greener. Today's nominees are shining examples of how fleets, of all sizes, can help the environment and save money by taking simple and practical steps
