The Dudman Group saves £44,000 with paperless workflow technology

London, 19 January 2016
The Dudman Group has slashed more than £44,000 a year off its administration costs by integrating WEBFLEET from TomTom Telematics with a paperless workflow app.

The aggregate and ready-mixed concrete supplier is using the TomTom PRO 8275, driver terminal and AllOnMobile software app to digitise paper-based admin, including the creation of quality-certified (QSRMC)1 delivery tickets.

The TomTom PRO 8275 seven-inch terminal connects to WEBFLEET, the TomTom Telematics fleet management platform, allowing businesses to integrate information captured in the field into back-end systems and make decisions based on real-time data.

Delivery tickets are a vital part of our service standards, said The Dudman Group Managing Director, Chris Brant. By digitally generating these with the AllOnMobile app for customers to sign electronically we’ve not only reduced our administrative burden but have also cut loading time at our plant.

Drivers can now leave the plant as soon as concrete is loaded and checked, without waiting for paper tickets and the cost of pre-printed multi-part tickets has been eliminated.

The TomTom PRO 8275 terminal and AllOnMobile app is also being used by workers to conduct daily vehicle checks with all information automatically sent back to the office, eliminating the need for a further paper trail. Job schedules are automatically uploaded to the device with drivers navigated via efficient, truck-specific, routes directly to customers.

WEBFLEET has helped us achieve time savings and service improvements in numerous key areas – from job dispatch to accurate customer ETAs – reducing valuable man-hours and boosting productivity to directly impacting our bottom line.
