Business Software community invited to build apps through fleet management data

Amsterdam, 8 May 2014
At the first International Developer Conference, to be held in Amsterdam on May 15, TomTom Telematics will demonstrate the capabilities of the WEBFLEET platform’s APIs. The multiple APIs and SDKs allow 3rd party software and hardware to integrate with the WEBFLEET solution and access fleet management and vehicle telematics data.

The event will showcase the opportunities for developers to use such data in innovative ways and create new mobile applications and hardware or software integrations.

Attendees will also get a preview of the development capabilities of the forthcoming PRO 8270 and PRO 8275 driver terminals – the WEBFLEET-enabled TomTom Bridge versions – and their PRO.connect SDK, which allows business applications to be hosted on the 7" driver terminal.

WEBFLEET is the most open fleet management solution in the industry, with its 150 .connect partners, including PTV, CGI and Zebra, and over 200 apps related to ERP, routing and scheduling, SalesForce Automation, mobile printing, temperature sensoring and more.

Connected car data can be of tremendous value to companie says Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director TomTom Telematics. Our aim is to empower partners to unleash the full potential of the WEBFLEET platform. Together we can create end-to-end business systems that deliver ever greater value to customers

The APIs of WEBFLEET allow customers to truly integrate fleet management into their business environment. With this they can be more efficient, more customer oriented and competitive than with any other fleet management solution
